If you are reading this review, then it’s more than likely for the same reason I once read the reviews myself. You may be about to go through something that, as a family, we had to endure. Our beautiful girl Daisy was 17 years old, and we knew the end was near. When we finally came to the heartbreaking decision that we wanted a home euthanasia, I was lucky enough to stumble across Peaceful Paws and make contact with Helen. Unfortunately for us, Daisy deteriorated much quicker than we expected, but Helen was there with us every step of the way, right up to Daisy’s final breath. I honestly don’t know how we would have got through it without Helen. She made an impossible situation somehow easier not just for me, but for Daisy, and for our young children too. Her compassion, patience, and genuine care meant everything in those final moments. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Peaceful Paws and for the exceptional care and kindness we were shown. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.Posted on Arran Huxtable23/01/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. At a very stressful and sad time, Helen was incredibly kind, compassionate and caring as we said goodbye to our beloved Lulu. Helen explained the whole process clearly on an initial phone call, was really accommodating to our needs and helped us allow Lulu to pass peacefully in her sleep. The whole thing was handled with such calmness, love and care allowing us to focus on saying goodbye. Helen not only checked in with us after a few days but also sent a really lovely card which was an unexpected personal touch. Thank you Helen for making a really tough decision a little bit easier.Posted on kim welsh20/01/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Helen was amazing, she came to us late at night on very short notice when our Labrador Merlin suddenly became obviously very uwell letting us know he was ready to go.. Helen was so calm & gentle with Merlin & is. She made the whole thing so much easier & it felt right, she even let our other dog Ozzy stay which helped him understand. Merlin left on his own bed with his favourite toy & Helen gently placed a blanket over his body, he looked like he was sleeping. I can't thank her enough for her compassion, even messaging the nxt day.Posted on Coralie James18/01/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Although a heart breaking decision it’s the last parting show of love we can give to our furry kids… Sadly we had to call Helen yesterday as our beautiful boy Bear had become very poorly. My wife dealt with Helen on the phone, super professional, super caring.. Helen arrived with us sometime after 17.00 on Saturday evening. When my wife said Helen had arrived my heart sank as I knew i’d be letting my besty go. Helen was very lovely, spoke in detail throughout the process, talked with our boys who had made it to be with Bear as he went over the rainbow bridge. We spoke about , how we had got him, things he’d got up to in his fantastic and full life. Bear slipped off in a gentle snoozing sleep. When you need to make this heart breaking call, do not hesitate to use Helen @ Peaceful Paws Love you always Bo Bear , run free big fella.xxPosted on Gemma Dunford14/01/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We said goodbye to our lovely cat Esme on Sunday 4th Jan 2026…and had contacted Helen the day before. We knew we wanted to put her to sleep as calmly and peacefully as possible at home, and the experience with Helen was something we will never forget. Esme had lymphoma and had been on steroid and chemo tablets since early October but worsened a lot in the few days leading up to our decision. She hated going to the vets and to be able to say goodbye to her at home on our bed with her stretched out on the cosy fur blanket purring and peaceful was a real gift in a way. Helen was calm, kind, full of compassion and empathy and could not have been more supportive of us or Esme. Nothing was rushed and everything was explained. We decided to have Esme cremated and her ashes put into a black sleeping cat urn so she will always be with us. Helen - thank you for everything. We are incredibly grateful.Posted on CJ Holland13/01/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We asked Helen to help us at a really difficult time. She was incredibly kind & supportive of our decision, and not receiving that much help from our local vets was immensely comforting. There was no rush, just very peaceful . If we had to do it, it could not have been better. Thank you Helen.Posted on Cheri Ghaibi13/01/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Helen was so supportive and respectful during what was an awful time for us. She guided our family (including 2 small children) through a very emotionally challenging time - sharing her own experience of losing a much loved furry companion. She made his passing very comfortable and dignified, whilst talking us through each step. Loki was treated with the same care in death as he was during his long, happy life. I cannot thank her enough for making what was a devastating day, less traumatic for us all.Posted on Jenn Holton06/01/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We cannot thank Helen enough for what she has done for us. She gave us the goodbye for our lovely Max that he truly deserved. She was quick in responding to messages, communicating in a way that I was comfortable with, and was prompt, clear and supportive in her arrival/contact prior to the day. On the day she explained everything to us fully so we knew what to expect. She was calm, compassionate and understanding about what the perfect end was for our boy. Every time I had a question she was there, yet when I wanted time with Max before he passed she was discreet and removed herself to give me space. Helen made the most awful day for us manageable with her approach, kindness and support. I will forever be grateful for the gift she gave us and if you find yourself in the same situation as us I cannot recommend her highly enough. Every good boy (or girl) deserves the send off Helen provides.
